The Ministry of Truth

The Ministry of Truth is a media collective founded in Brisbane with collaborators all over Australia. I began the project in 2004 as I saw a need for a organisation to develop the talents of emerging filmmakers wanting to express political and alternative views on their world. The Ministry creates videos about contemporary issues not often touched by the mainstream media with a focus on comedy, satire and political commentary.

The Ministry of Truth has created video works that have been screened online, at festivals and broadcast on television. It has received much government support and is recognised as a leading new media and cross platform project. It was invited to attend the 2006 Laboratory of Advanced Media Production (LAMP) and in 2007 the Australian Film Commission funded the development of a social networking and web TV site at www.ministryoftruth.tv

The Ministry of Truth has also been comissioned by our national broadcaster, ABC, to create works for their flagship youth program JTV.   New JTV comedy, Ministry of Truth!

I have overseen the production of three half hour television pilots including THE DEMOCRACY EPISODE - viewable online here

In 2008 I created a short satire segment for the Australian election which screened on the MInistry of Truth youtube channel which recieving 20 000 hits and was archived in the Australian Pandora National Archive.
